Day 14. Yellowstone National Park, Day 2

So happy to have stayed overnight in Yellowstone.

Morning!

Alexander got behind the wheels and we headed to the middle of YNP to Canyon Village.

Bison stop!

We stopped at some Mud Baths.

$48???? I think we'll just run...fast!

Found a CassieBear

We drove the North Rim & got out at several places to walk some trails. This is the Grand Canyon.

The Gand Canyon from the other side (and me).

Detective Cassie becomes adamant on finding a REAL bear!

So I drive up as north as we can to find one. No luck!

On the way back we stopped for dinner at Canyon Junction. It was going to be a 2 hour drive back to the campsite.

But there was traffic!

Traffic means one thing in YNP, wildlife. Alex jumps out and I meet him down the road about 30mins later. Turns out it was a wolf and a grizzly bear having a stand off over an elk carcass.

There he is. I park the car and run down.

It was like National Geographic.

Alexander thought he was David Attenborough.

We stayed out till 9.30pm. We had moved the car by then and had even packed up our bags for the next morning in between the boring bits. Sorry all photos on the Canon.

We got home really really late as we accidentally took the wrong route home. But so worth it!!
