Day 29. Miami - THE LAST DAY!

It's Alex here, so here it is our last day in the States. So, I thought it would be a good time to post my first entry, taking credit for the whole of the blog.

A 6:30 start for yoga on Miami beach. Quick walk to the beach from the hostel and we were there. As the regulars rock up it appears I have made a complete rookie error: forgetting a towel. Like a trooper I get on with the job.

As we begin the array of exercises, flexibility proves not Cassie's strongest ability as she face plants into the sand.

Oh hey there....

Morning session over we head back to the hostel.

Breakfast and chill out for a bit, then we headed off to the beach again

Some pics of the hostel:

The name of the hostel is Posh South Beach hostel and from the pictures above you can probably tell. One to recommend for all the people from private schools.

Headed from the beach to the hostel grabbing some lunch on the way and headed to the airport.

Flew from Miami just after 5pm to Jamaica to join the rents.

So hope you've enjoyed following our blog. This is the end of the month long journey and now signing off from the hills of Jamaica.

Day 28. Fort Lauderdale & Miami

We were up very early (all things considering a travel day the day before) to go swimming with Aunt Hillory.

We attempted Aunt Hillory's work out but  bailed partway to eat breakfast.

Uncle Zeph was still asleep when we got back. We went golfing just at 1pm with him.

The pros came to watch...

We had lunch & looked through some photo albums.

They see me rollin'

Yesterday we found out about another Grand Aunt yesterday and decided to visit her. We booked a hostel just before we went to bed and organised how to get down.

Saying goodbye at the Tri Rail station!

We got the Tri Rail first.

& then got on the MetroRail. Massive argument going on behind me here.

Austin picked us up from the station and we drove about 30mins to their family home.

Day 27. Fort Lauderdale

Today, we visited our Great Aunt Hillory and Great Uncle Zeph. We never met our Grandmother, so today was pretty special.

We got a bus from Orlando to Fort Lauderdale. It took 5 hours and we arrived just after 1pm.

Evette, Hillory and Zephs friend came to pick us up. We drove back to their house and had lunch. After lunch Zeph and Hillory stayed home, and Evette have us a driving tour and dropped us off at FL beach.

Margarita time

Dad then sent us a shopping list of stuff for Jamaica so we stopped off at Walmart on the way home.

Uncle Zeph is 93! Incredible. He is very deaf and this is him humouring us with a hearing test.

Aunt Hillory made us a 3 way celebration cake.
1. Happy 25th wedding anniversary for mum and dad.
2. Congratulations for my First Class Honours
3. Congratulations for the undergraduate to be - Alexander

Bun and cheese!

We learnt about many stories! & learnt about different family members.

Alexander taught Aunt Hillory how to use Skype & check our blog. Aunt Hillory skyped our Aunt Audrey two years ago and haven't been able to work it since.

They were amazed to see how the camera would work. Alex also taught them to scan and the fact that a scan doesn't use ink. Aunt Hillory didn't realise she had a scanner.

It was a lovely day!!!! Xxxxxx
